Big Fella Brewing

Big Fella Brewing is one of Berkshire's newest independent craft breweries, based at Lockey Farm in Arborfield Cross, not far from Wokingham and Reading. Founded by Greg and Alex — two friends who met during lockdown over a shared love of craft beer — the brewery brings together Greg's background as a trained brewer and former music industry professional with Alex's years of experience creating welcoming hospitality spaces. Greg, Head Brewer, was born in Paris, raised in New England, and found his way into craft beer in 2014. With a background in the music industry, he now applies his creative skills to the world of craft brewing. Alex, meanwhile, built his reputation through landscape gardening and creating standout outdoor spaces — before co-founding The Hive Craft Beer Shop in Crowthorne. The taproom is currently open on Fridays and Saturdays with fresh beer brewed on site, cans to take away, and events planned as the brewery grows. The beer philosophy centres on big flavour, creativity, and accessibility.
